He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Fairchild and Rhodaett Fairchild (Sharra); and his wife Carole Fairchild of Mary's Cemetery. He is survived by: his siblings, George Fairchild (Karen) of Gaylordsville, CT, Gordon Fairchild (Eleanor) of New Milford, CT and Rhoda Peck of Southbury, CT; and his nieces and nephews, Jay Peck (Pam), Sheryll Reichelt, Jeffrey Peck, Chris Peck, Gordon Fairchild Jr., Lori Dilport, Jennifer Knight, Shanna Fairchild, Eric Fairchild, Dana Fairchild and Devon Towey. He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury, CT 06810). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Danbury Memorial and Cremation Service (117 South St, Danbury, CT 06810).
