With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vincent O'Donnell of Sandy Hook, Connecticut, who passed away on October 5, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent O'Donnell and Lillian O'Donnell (Tannhauser); and his daughter Judith Ellen. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Keating); his children, Paul (Anmarie), Sean (Tess) and Denise Canavan (Patrick); his grandchildren, Riley O'Donnell, Katherine Canavan, Megan O'Donnell, Carolyn Canavan and John Canavan; and his brother Edmond O'Donnell (Anne). He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Honan Funeral Home (58 Main St, Newtown, CT 06470). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Rose of Lima Church (46 Church Hill Rd, Newtown, CT 06470). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Long Island National Cemetery (2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
