He is survived by : his wife Frances Yoia Poeta; his children, Wendy Poeta-Tisi of Shelton and John J. Poeta (Dorie) of Seymour; and his grandchildren, Ryan P. Tisi of Seymour and Cara M. Poeta of Seymour. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
