He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bomba and Mary Bomba; his grandson Colby E. Zawisza; and his sisters, Matilda B. Hricko, Victoria B. Kozak and Sally Bomba.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his daughter Darlene B. Zawisza (Gary) of Ansonia; his granddaughter Desiree L. Zawisza of Seymour; his children, Edward J. Bomba, Jr. and Hollie (Lisa) of Seymour; and his siblings, Alfreda B. Garbien of Seymour, Ted, Gene and Ed. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, nephews and cousins.
