He was predeceased by: his wife Corinne Schietinger (Vitale); his parents, George Schietinger and Celeste Schietinger (Hindirer); his brother George Schietinger; and his son-in-law Vic Hudzina.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Hudzina, Ray J. Schietinger (Diane), Celeste Milne (Robert), Jimmy Schietinger (Cecelia), William Schietinger (Katherine) and Dennis Schietinger (Claire); and his stepchildren, Carl Sastram (Barbara), Barbara Dokla (John) and Renie Mejnartowicz. He is also survived by grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
