It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Schietinger of Seymour, Connecticut, who passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Corinne Schietinger (Vitale); his parents, George Schietinger and Celeste Schietinger (Hindirer); his brother George Schietinger; and his son-in-law Vic Hudzina.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Hudzina, Ray J. Schietinger (Diane), Celeste Milne (Robert), Jimmy Schietinger (Cecelia), William Schietinger (Katherine) and Dennis Schietinger (Claire); and his stepchildren, Carl Sastram (Barbara), Barbara Dokla (John) and Renie Mejnartowicz. He is also survived by grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484). A procession was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St Thomas the Apostle Church (733 Oxford Rd, Oxford, CT 06478). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
