He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Lomme VanValkenburgh; his parents, Gilbert VanValkenburgh and Elle Storm VanValkenburgh; and his son Brian. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly VanValkenburgh (Susan) of Seymour and Rachael Allderige (Gerry) of Wethersfield; his brother Claude "Peanut" VanValkenburgh of Seymour; and his pet Sassy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jenkins-King & Malerba Funeral Home (12 Franklin St, Ansonia, CT 06401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
