Robert Slie Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Robert Slie (Seymour, Connecticut) is shared. Robert, born on October 23, 1948, passed away on September 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Slie and Anne Slie (Yustin); and his brother Jimmy. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Poplawski; his daughters, Tina Slie and Wendy Carrafiello (Brian Carey); his brothers, Billy and Tommy; his sisters-in-law, Helen Poplawski and Marcie Slie; and his nieces and nephews, Stefanie Newman, Shelby LoRusso, Haley Addis, Christopher Kimble and Jordan Kimble. He is also survived by spouses and children, totaling nine great nieces and nephews as well as several cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home (161 W Church St, Seymour, CT 06483). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Parish-Church (135 Mountain Rd, Seymour, CT 06483).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the newly established Robert T. Slie Future Educator Scholarship, which will annually benefit a graduating Amity senior pursuing education at a CT State University.
