Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara Gridley (Sharon, Connecticut), who passed away at the age of 93, on February 14, 2024. As we bid Barbara farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Barbara is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phyllis Reeke Gueinzius and John Bernard Gueinzius; and her brother John Bernard Gueinzius, Jr. (William G. Gridley, Jr.). She is survived by: her children, Katharine Mead Gridley (John Barstow) and William Winslow Gridley (Mary Heller Gridley); and her grandchildren, Rebecca, Charles, Angus and Nell. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
