She was predeceased by: her parents, William James and Ruth Anderson Gedge; her husband Edward McCarthy Sr.; and her brother Dr. Stafford Gedge. She is survived by: her son Edward McCarthy (Anne) of Greenfield, MA; her grandsons, James and Theodore; her son Sean McCarthy of Oak Hill, NY; her sister Nancy Dougherty; and her nieces and nephews, Lynn Warner, Debra Phillips, Susan Nelson, Christine Richards, William, James and Robert Gedge.
