He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Gates and Teresa Gates (Golden). He is survived by: his wife Mary Gates; his children, Andrew, Emily and Michael; and his sister Judee Flaws of Trumbull. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
