In the sacred silence of farewell, Eliza is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Eliza's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Celina Robbins Kellogg; her husband Harding Bancroft; and her children, Nina Klose, Brennan Klose (Washington, DC) and Chandler Klose of Northampton, MA. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as four stepchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends.
After retiring from ISAR she sat on the board of the International Crane Foundation, traveling in the Russian and Asian Far East to learn about and support the Foundation's conservation work to preserve endangered crane populations.
