He was predeceased by: his parents, Amy (Larson) and Carl Herbert. He is survived by: his sister Ruth; his wife Evelyn Hansen Franson (Hansen); his siblings, Astrid F. Harrison of Cromwell, CT and Carl B. Franson of Lime Rock, CT; his children, Kenneth (Christine) of Wolfeboro, NH and Jean F. Bell (Rick) of Salisbury, CT.; his grandchildren, Kayla J. Johnson (Brett) of Salisbury, CT and Cody J. Franson (Maria); and his great grandchild Francesca Evelyn Franson of Rangeley, ME..
