He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Cookingham and Viola Cookingham (Moore) of Pine Plains, NY.; and his son James Cookingham of Millerton. He is survived by: his children, Bernadette Downey (Robert) of Florida, Brenda Valyou of Florida and Robert Cookingham, Jr. (Nancy) of Millerton, NY; and his brothers, Richard Cookingham (Vicky) of Millerton and David Cookingham (Carla) of Pine Plains, NY. He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
