He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara J. Perkins and Heather Brooke Perkins; his grandsons, Jonas Roderick and Benjamin George; his niece Alyssa; his stepdaughter Ashley Brunn; and his foster brother Richard Patterson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Norfolk Connecticut Children's Foundation.
