It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony F. Verano of Shelton, Connecticut, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anthony F. Verano to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Anthony may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Verano and Rose Verano (Viscomi); his sister Gloria Douillard; his daughter Rosemarie Verano; and his grandson Anthony Karlovich.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Cosentino; his daughter Diana Verano; and his granddaughters, Chavelyin Karlovich-Colleran (Liam) and Toni-Marie Verano (Nick). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Francis Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
