With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Birdie DeRosa of Shelton, Connecticut, born in Stamford, Connecticut, who passed away on January 9, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Anthony Carriera and Anna Vieter Carriera; and her sister Louisa Calka. She is survived by : her daughters, Beth DeRubeis of North Haven and Kristin DeRosa of Milford, NH; her grandchildren, Christian, Sebastian, Meghan DeRubeis, Luca and Max DeRosa; her siblings, Anthony, John Carriera and Paula Turcer; and her close friend Peter Panaroni. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the ALS Association, a cause close to Birdie's heart. Your generous donations will help support research and provide assistance to those affected by this debilitating disease.
