She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Laing and Mary Laing (Commette); and her siblings, Robert, Barrie, Roberta and Evelyn.

She is survived by: her husband Fred Barmmer; her children, Melissa Zaccagnini (Jason), Brian Barmmer (Ayla) and Matthew Barmmer (Lauren); and her grandchildren, Billy, Jake, James, Lincoln and Colette. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
