He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bayusik and Beulah Cepetelli (Bayusik); his granddaughters, Caitlyn and Kristen; and his siblings, Robert, Joseph Bayusik, Marianne Mandolfo and Patricia Palmer.

He is survived by: his stepfather George Cepetelli; his wife Linda Griffin Bayusik; his children, Charlene Santoro, David Bayusik (Sheila) of Shelton and Bryan Bayusik (Tiffany) of Beacon Falls; his grandchildren, Jake, Anthony, David, Rylee, Logan, Brandon and Keegan; his brother John Bayusik (Leona); and his close friend Richard Labate (Jeannie).
