We announce the death of Derf Jansen of Shelton, Connecticut, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 73. Derf will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard A. and Doris Jansen (Shuster); his son Derek Jansen; and his nephew Patrick Bisson. He is survived by: his wife Susan Jansen (Krot); his son Chad Jansen (Amanda); his siblings, Bruce Jansen and Christine Jansen Bisson; and his niece Faith (John). He is also survived by several cousins and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
