He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mulholland and Mary Mulholland (Woodin); his brother James Mulholland; and his parents-in-law, Teresa Castaldo Sr., John, Carolyn Castaldo Jr. and Phillip Landona.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Mulholland (Candy), Peg Gillespie (Tom), Kathy Baker (Ben), Carrie Frawley (Jerry), Freddy Mulholland (Jen), Aurora Joaquim, Kristine Samsel and Chris Battistelli; and his sisters-in-law, Caroline Landona and Marilyn Mulholland. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
