It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald A. Bertie of Shelton, Connecticut, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on November 12, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Bertie and Bernice Arner Bertie; his daughter Susan Kingsley; and his sisters, Mary Jean Daoust and Janet Bertie.

He is survived by: his wife Sara Gowan Bertie; his children, Karen Esposito (Peter) of Cypress, CA, Patricia Stillhart (Patrick) of Hong Kong, Anne Shay (Christopher) of Trumbull and Michael Bertie (Patricia) of Trumbull; his grandchildren, Andrea (Sean), Christina (Josh), Victoria, Connor, Grace, Nolan, Ella, Lexi, Kiera and Quinn; and his great grandchildren, Sonia, Ava, Malachai and Samson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Gerald and Sara's daughter, Susan.
