With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Vollaro of Shelton, Connecticut, who passed away on November 26, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Willard S. Nicholas, Sr. and Josephine B. Nicholas (Webb). She is survived by : her husband Charles M. Vollaro; her sons, Mark Vollaro of Shelton and David Vollaro (Beverly) of Glen Ridge, N. J.; her grandchildren, Shawn Vollaro, Hayley Fiorentino and Allison Fiorentino; and her siblings, Dorothy Sutton and Willard Nicholas (Lupe).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington Congregational Church, 19 Church St, Shelton CT 06484.

“In loving memory of Jean Vollaro, I met Jean through our genealogy research. We are both descendants of Samuel and Margaret Nicholas of Durham, Pa. We shared stories and research as our grandfathers were brothers who came to Bridgeport, Ct in 1889. Thus, we are 2nd cousins. Jean was a high energy, competent and fun person to get to know over these last few years. My sympathy to your family.”
