He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn VanHoose (Zawadski); his parents, Raymond VanHoose and Lurray VanHoose (Blanton); his son Joseph VanHoose, Jr.; and his brother George VanHoose.
He is survived by: his son Jeff VanHoose (Kim); his grandchildren, Eric, Evan VanHoose, Ella, Logan and Noah VanHoose; and his siblings, Edward VanHoose and Janet VanHoose. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
