She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Opiela; her parents, John Fitol and Louise Fitol (Mikos); her grandson Kel Kosiorowski; and her brothers, Joseph, Henry and John Fitol.

She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Kosiorowski and Joan Williams (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Shawn Kosiorowski, Kristen Carey (Mike), Christopher Williams (Cheryl) and Steven Williams (Karen); and her great grandchildren, Alex Antuna, Alyssa, Ashley Kosiorowski, Noah, Paige, Maisie Williams, Aria and Asher Carey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
