He was predeceased by : his brother Virgilio Da Silva. He is survived by : his wife Emilia Silva; his sons, Manuel J. Silva (Paulina Silva) and Luis Silva (Maureen Ton); his grandchildren, Natalie, Manuel D., Julian and Leona; and his siblings, Elisabete Matias (Humberto), Fernando, Jorge, Ilda Rodrigues, Graca and Antonio Silva (Isabel). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport, CT 06608).
