He was predeceased by : his parents, Matthew F. Weiler, Jr. and Alberta Florence Alves Weiler. He is survived by : his wife Aline Lima Resende Weiler of Shelton; his sons, Matthew Weiler of Shelton and Jacob Weiler of Waterbury; his stepdaughter Karolina Resende; his brothers, David Weiler (Mede) of Spain and Christopher Weiler (Angela); his aunt Pauline Alves of Shelton; and his former life partner Bonnie L. Weiler of Waterbury.

A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (212 Elizabeth St, Derby, CT 06418).
