He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Angelo and Bernadette Vendetti (Clapis); his brother James Vendetti; his son-in-law Thomas Cavanaugh; his in-laws, Raymond and Edith Coyne (Simmons); and his brother-in-law Brian Coyne.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Rae Vendetti (Coyne); his children, Tara Lee Cavanaugh (Vendetti), Michael Craven, Charles Matthew (Leslie (Terriberry) Vendetti) and Megan (Kevin Ahonen); his grandchildren, Joseph, Kyle Cavanaugh, Nicholas, Ryan Vendetti, Grace, Michael, Charlie, Sam and Ellie Ahonen; his sister Mary Ann (James Hubert); his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Vendetti (Mancini), Cindy Mikelson (Coyne), Michael Coyne and Larry Mikelson; his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Pucci, Marc Vendetti, Keith Hubert, Janice Vendetti, Kevin Hubert, Roxanne Vendetti, Kerry Ann Ruff, Michael Vendetti and Susan Koski; and his cousins, Teresa Mazza, Angela Diener and Angela Callahan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center (301 Country Club Rd, Avon, CT 06001). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Church (265 Stratton Brook Rd, West Simsbury, CT 06092).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital and St Jude Children's Medical Hospital.
