She was predeceased by: her husband Burke Hansen. She is survived by: her children, Charlotte McLaughlin (Brian) of Avon and Geoffrey Hansen (Laurie) of Avon; her brothers, Albert Miller of Simsbury and Carl Miller of Florida; and her grandchildren, Daniel McLaughlin of Farmington, Ari McLaughlin of Avon, Allison McLaughlin of Brookline, Samantha Hansen and Gabriella Hansen of Avon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, an organization that Janet personally supported.
