With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jay Pershing of Simsbury, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jay left this world on September 30, 2025, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Pershing (Cartmell); his parents, Sheldon Pershing and Geneve Pershing; and his siblings, Richard, Rebecca and Janice.
He is survived by: his children, Jay (Carole) of Webster Groves, MO, James (Kate) of Cohasset, MA, Lisa Ballester of Bainbridge Island, WA, Marianne Egan (James) of Rye, NY and Anna LaVigne (Marty) of Simsbury, CT. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (265 Stratton Brook Rd, West Simsbury, CT 06092).
