He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Mervyn" Conway and Bridget Conway (Birmingham); his brother James "Frank" Conway; his brother-in-law Lawrence McGurkin; and his nephew Michael Conway.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen McGurkin of Simsbury; his children, Kathleen Miller (Billy) of Marshfield, MA and Brendan Conway (Annie) of Boston, MA; and his granddaughters, Madelyn and Ava Miller.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 9:00 AM.
In a final act of generosity, John chose to donate his body to UConn School of Medicine to support medical research and education. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John Conway to the UConn Health - Wilmont Memorial Fund, mailed to UConn Health Anatomical.
