He was predeceased by: his parents, Guilio Salvatore and Ines Calcagni Salvatore; his siblings, Pietro Salvatore, Mary Magdalenski (Salvatore) and Domenico Peter Salvatore; and his nephew Mark Magdalenski.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Salvatore of Simsbury, Caroline Caldwell (Jim Caldwell) of North Granby and Diane Tartaglia (Greg Tartaglia) of Simsbury; his grandchildren, Sabrina Mullen (Thomas Mullen), Leah Salvatore of Simsbury, Zachary, Phoebe Tartaglia of Simsbury and Mason Julius Caldwell of North Granby; his nieces and nephews, Marylou Magdalenski Emlet (Jerry Emlet), Joseph Magdalenski (Nancy Magdalenski), Paul Salvatore (Margy) of Simsbury, Marian Merrell (Chris Merrell) of Simsbury, James Salvatore (Sue) of Virginia and Lisa Salvatore of Simsbury; and his uncle Junior. He is also survived by many grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Simsbury (880 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury, CT 06070). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (942 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury, CT 06070). A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Simsbury Cemetery (16 Plank Hill Rd, Simsbury, CT 06070).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in Junior's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
