Kate Kaplan Obituary
The memory of Kate Kaplan (Simsbury, Connecticut), who passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 67, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles B. Simmons and Martha Simmons (Marty). She is survived by: her children, Josh (Katelyn) and Sarah (Graham); her grandchildren, Jayden, Arden Kaplan and Tana Trail; and her siblings, Jonathan (Lisa) and Hannah (Richard). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Christ Community Church (7 South St, Collinsville, CT 06019). Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 55 Bushy Hill Road, Simsbury, CT 06070. A shiva was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Community Church, to Roaring Brook Nature Center, 70 Gracey Road, Canton, CT 06019 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
