He is survived by: his wife Mavourneen Backus (Neuser); his daughters, Kim Harmon (David) of Bolton, CT, Shelly Brownell (Matthew) of Southborough, MA and Amy Kalish (Bryan) of Somers, CT.; his grandchildren, Sara Caldecutt (Harmon), Aaron Harmon, Bradley, Curtis Brownell, Kelsey and Nathan Kalish; and his siblings, Judy Franke (Backus) of Manitowoc, WI and Jim Backus (Meg) of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
