He was predeceased by : his parents, Dominique Tardif and Rhea Tardif (Mercure); his wife Marsha; and his siblings, Marguerite Sevigny and Raymond Tardif.

He is survived by : his children, Richard Tardif, Jr. (Lori) of Somers, James Tardif (Jamie) of Manchester and Rebecca Kohl (Derek) of Southington; his grandchildren, Dominic, Nathan, Nicole, Loren, Emily, Amber, Gabriel, Amanda and Dalton; and his brother George Sevigny of Kentucky. He is also survived by his three children.
