It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George L. Riggs of South Glastonbury, Connecticut, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy George leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though George may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Riggs, Jr. and Catherine Riggs (Staltari). He is survived by: his wife Cathy Riggs (Griswold); his children, Jeffrey Riggs of Brooklyn and Rebecca Riggs (Bryan Kelley) of Brooklyn; his brothers, Kenneth Riggs and Robert Riggs; his mother-in-law Lois Griswold; his sister-in-law Cynthia Cahoon (Gary); and his rescue Lilly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Church of Christ (2183 Main St, Glastonbury, CT 06033).
