She was predeceased by : her parents, Margaret Evans, (Ross) and Richard Evans, Sr.; her husband John Hurley (Jack); and her son Scott Hays. She is survived by : her daughter Elizabeth Gurney (Ralph) of Carver, MA; her stepdaughters, Patricia Godwin of Marlborough, CT and Kathy King (Richard) of East Hampton, CT; her daughter-in-law Tatianna Hays of Wethersfield, CT; her granddaughters, Lauren Hays of Rocky Hill, CT and Lindsay Hays of Willimantic, CT; her great grandchildren, Scott and Liam Sweeney of Rocky Hill, CT; and her brother Richard Evans Jr. (Connie) of Clearwater, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jayne's name to The Hole in The Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT founded by Paul Newman.
