He was predeceased by : his father Joseph R Whalen. He is survived by : his mother Corrine Whalen of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sisters, Anne O'Connor and Karen Whalen; his sister-in-law Karen Couse; his niece Kelsey O'Connor; and his nephew Brandon (Jackie O'Connor). He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
