He was predeceased by : his parents, David Backman and Evelyn Backman. He is survived by : his significant other Debbie Shoag; his children, Stacey Gay (Greg), Robyne Brennan (Craig), Jeff Backman (Nicole) and Rayna Ehrenfeld (Josh); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Marisa, Zachary, Eliana Gay, Kyra, Erin Brennan, Luke, Zoey Ehrenfeld and Stella Backman; his pet Gonzo; and his siblings, Barbara and Paul. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
