He was predeceased by : his wife Joan B. Thompson; his parents, Russell Thompson and Esther Thompson (Carlson); and his brother Robert Thompson. He is survived by : his children, Jill O'Connor (Brian) of So, Glastonbury, Greg Thompson (Sharen) of Greensboro, NC and David Thompson (Coreen) of Granby; his grandchildren, Brendan O'Connor (Lauren Henehan), Megan O'Connor, Ryan Thompson (Caroline), Teresa Nelson (Brett), Jack Thompson, Ashley Thompson and Garrett Thompson; and his great grandchildren, James, Luke and Davis.
