We bid farewell to Rosalie C. Thorpe of South Windsor, Connecticut, born in Jacksonville, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 13, 2025 at the age of 78. Rosalie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie C. Chalk and Bertha Lee Chalk (Wells); her siblings, Clifford Chalk, Dorothy Davis, Emma Tyson and Stanley C. Chalk; and her siblings' children, Brian Davis and Latoya Chalk.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Burke (Keith) of Manchester, Troy Wilkins of East Hartford, Jamila Hopkins (Bernard) of Waynesboro, PA, Cameron Dowdell (Troy), Tirrell Cox (Edie) and Bennie Billie IV; her siblings, Janese Bolden (Warren) and Edmund Arthur Chalk (Linda); her aunt Annie Mae Lewis; and her close friend Carolyn J. Evans. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crossroads Community Cathedral (1492 Silver Ln, East Hartford, CT 06118). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
