He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward George and Violet Martha Kowalski (Kovacs). He is survived by: his wife Virginia Lee Kowalski (Martin) of Southbury; his daughters, Lynn Marie Thornton (Rod) of Barrington, Michelle Lee Brachten (Joerg) of Huntersville and Sherye Ann Stockmal (late Steven) of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Britney Thornton-Homco (Keith), Ethan Thornton, KassieStockmal, Bryce Brachten and Jonathan Brachten; his great grandchild Eva Thornton-Homco; his brothers, Thomas Martin Kowalski (Nancy) and Edward George Kowalski; his niece Sarah Lichorowiec (Sean); and his nephew Thomas Kowalski.
