He is survived by: his wife Shirley Johnson; his children, Richard Markey (Donna), Michael C. Markey and Jennifer Peterson (John); and his siblings, Bonnie Kraut (James) of Virginia and Andrew Johnson (Mary) of Maryland. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
