Cynthia Simms wrote a sympathy message

“Mr. Whitmore was truly one of the warmest, most genuine people I have ever known. My best memories of him are from our Kickapoo days and from singing with him and Mrs. Whitmore at St. Aloysius at Christmas for many years. He made every gathering more fun - he always had a good "dad joke" or a funny story or surprise to share. The Chalfant family will always treasure his presence in our lives and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him. Thinking of you all - he was the best!”
