Douglas M. Wasik Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas M. Wasik of Southington, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 22, 2025 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Douglas M. Wasik to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wasik and Marion Wasik (Perzan); his brother Edward Wasik; and his siblings-in-law, Rita Brouillard (Armand) and Henry Goudreault.
He is survived by: his wife Cecile E. Wasik (Champagne); his children, Michael Wasik (Jennifer) and Beth Schmidt; his grandchildren, Bethany Boisvert (Noah), Jameson, Rylynn Schmidt and Jake Wasik; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Wasik, Gloria Albino (Art Lanesc), Jeannie Goudreault and Lee Champagne (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Plantsville Funeral Home (975 S Main St, Plantsville, CT 06479). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the State Veteran's Cemetery (317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT 06457).
