We announce the death of James M. McNicholas of Southington, Connecticut, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 86. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael McNicholas and Florence McNicholas (Lee); his brother John; and his uncle Jack "Unc" McNicholas. He is survived by: his children, Meghan McNicholas-Leggett (Jamie) of Southington, Elizabeth McNicholas (Dave Hilb) and Matt McNicholas of Groton; his grandchildren, Jamie Leggett Jr. of Southington, Isabella Leggett of Southington, Nicholas Leggett of Southington and Sophia Leggett of Southington; and his former wife Diane McNicholas Botsacos.
