Joan leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joan’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Joan will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor Paulson (Barringham) and Robert Ernest Paulson; her brother Alan David Paulson; and her sister-in-law Linda Brodeur Pine. She is survived by: her husband Richard Brodeur; her daughters, Jayna Marie Brodeur of Long Beach and Elyse Megan Manyak (Daniel) of Harwinton; and her grandchildren, Lillyan Hope of Harwinton and Jack Douglas of Harwinton.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center (301 Country Club Rd, Avon, CT 06001).
