It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Smoluk in Southington, Connecticut, born in New Britain, Connecticut, who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Walter Smoluk; her brothers, Ronald and Michael Nickolas; and her parents, Lucy Nickolas and Nick Nickolas.

She is survived by : her niece Karen Strobel (Will) of Ellington; her nephews, Michael Nickolas (Faith) of Holden, MA and David Nickolas (Laurie) of South Windsor; her sister-in-law Eleanore Nickolas of Southington; her great-nephews, Erik Strobel and Kristofer Strobel (Kathryn McLean); her great-nieces, Jaclyn and Sarah Nickolas; and also Kayden Strobel-McLean.
