We announce the death of Richard L. Berube of Southington, Connecticut, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 78. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Richard will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Richard will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Richard’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Berube and Hilda Berube (Jandreau); his brother Ronald Berube; and his wife Caren Berube (Asofsky). He is survived by: his sons, Andrew Berube (Cathy) of Norwich and Terrance Berube (Kylee) of Southington; and his siblings, Roger Berube, Russell Berube (Janice), Rinette Potter (William) and Robert Berube (Peggy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home (211 N Main St, Southington, CT 06489).
