We announce the death of Richard J. Danko Sr. (Southington, Connecticut), who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 82. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Danko and Jennie Danko (Pac); and his brother Kenneth Danko. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Danko (Pacyna); his children, Cheryl Kaminsky (John), John Danko (Lori Ann), Richard Danko Jr. (Tina), Jeffrey Danko, David Danko (Lori), Christian Danko and Mark Danko; his grandchildren, Matthew Danko, Brian Kaminsky (Chrissy), Danielle Meola (Anthony), John Danko Jr., Sean Danko (Katie), Maeghan Danko, Taylor Conroe-Riddle (Garrett), Bekru Danko, Nora Danko, Emily Voisine (DJ), Craig Frobel (Haley), Austin Danko, Kayla Danko, Dylan Danko (Sabreena), Lynsey Danko, Travis Danko and Lauren Danko; and his great grandchildren, Lyla, Liam, Theodore, Maverick, MaKenna Danko, Elsie, Charlene Voisine and Jace Frobel.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Plantsville Funeral Home (975 S Main St, Plantsville, CT 06479). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Church (254 Burritt St, Plantsville, CT 06479). A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery (175 South End Rd, Southington, CT 06489).
