It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard S. Brodie Jr. of Southington, Connecticut, born in Framingham, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 2, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard S. Brodie, Sr. and Cecilia Cotter Brodie; and his father-in-law Sebastian Mangiafico. He is survived by: his wife Carmela Brodie (Mangiafico) of Southington; his daughters, Rose Brodie Paul (Scott Paul) and Carla Brodie Keim (Justin Keim); his siblings, Ruth Lebel (late Del Lebel) of South Carolina, Peter Brodie (Sue) of Pomfret, Robin Brodie Millette (Paul) of Ellington and Jean Brodie Cyr (Wayne) of Ashford; his grandchildren, Devan Tillotson, Nolan Tillotson, Army Cavalry Scout, Vilsek, Germany, Kay Gulley, Taylor and Paige Paul of Davidson, NC; his great grandchildren, Ayden, Alayah and Jordynn; his mother-in-law Francesca Mangiafico of Old Saybrook; his sister-in-law Lucy Young of Old Saybrook; and his uncles, Kenneth Brodie of Waynesville, NC and William Cotter of Cape Cod, MA. He is also survived by 31 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Figueroa Children Scholarship Fund, c/o TD Bank, 121 Main Street, Southington CT 06489, to benefit the children of his very special nurse, Jessica Figueroa, who took such special care of our Dad.
